Vermont Portfolio Display Day Details
Monday, May 15, 2006
State House
Montpelier, VT

8:30 AM Arrive at Vermont State House
8:30-9:00 Students set up portfolios
9:00-9:45 Informal viewing by judges, participants and guests
10:00 - 11:00 Oral Hearings - 2 judge panels and 3 portfolio teams in five locations (Introduction by judges, 5 minute formal presentation by student team, 5 minute follow-up questions by judges, final comments by judges)
11:00 - 12:30 Students attend simulated legislative committee hearings at the State House / Judges evaluate portfolios at the State House
12:30 PM Box lunch at the State House
1:00 PM Awards at the State House

Requirements:
Maximum 2 portfolios per school
Minimum 3 to maximum 6 students to accompany each portfolio
Schools determine which portfolios and which students will attend

Expenses:
Travel, substitute teachers, and meals will be covered by Project Citizen - Vermont

Judging sheets will be sent to all participating schools

**Roster sheet must be to Bill Haines no later than Monday, May 8, 2006.
